BOSTON, MA – October 6, 2021 – STAT, a leading national health care media company, today announced the February 2022 launch of STATUS List, an annual directory of the leading minds in health, medicine, and life sciences. The 46 honorees — selected by STAT editors and an elite panel of outside judges — will represent sectors like biotechnology and diagnostics, as well as broader arenas like education and policy.
Outside judges will include:
- John Maraganore, CEO, Alnylam
- Lisa Suennen, healthcare investor now at Manatt, Phelps, and Phillips; leader of Manatt Digital and Technology; lead partner of the Manatt Venture Fund
- Esther Dyson, famous tech and healthcare visionary, angel investor, and board member at 23andme; founder, Wellville
- Peter Kuhn, professor and translational care expert at USC; part of the Obama-Biden cancer moonshot initiative
This program is spearheaded by STAT’s first head of community, Jason Heathcote, who was brought on in 2021 to develop initiatives like STATUS List that connect loyal readers and participants in annual programs.
