In a move that sets up an intellectual property battle between telemedicine’s two most powerful companies, Teladoc has sued its rival Amwell for allegedly infringing on its patents.

Teladoc’s complaint, filed on Monday in federal court in Delaware, seeks to recoup damages and to block Amwell from continuing to market the products that it believes infringe on its patents.
